Service Status Guide

Understanding what different service statuses mean and how our platform works

Active

When a service is marked as "Active," it means the service is fully operational and available for all users to access without any restrictions.

What this means for you:

  • Service is working normally and accepting requests
  • You can access all features and functions
  • Response times should be optimal
  • No known issues or limitations

Inactive

An "Inactive" service has been temporarily disabled by our administrators. This usually happens when there are technical issues that need to be resolved.

What this means for you:

  • You may not see the service in your dashboard
  • You cannot access this service until reactivated
  • Other services remain unaffected
  • Resolved within a few hours to possibly never, meaning it can be removed fully. An announcement will be made if this occurs.

Maintenance

"Maintenance" status indicates that the service is undergoing scheduled updates, improvements, or repairs to enhance performance and reliability.

What this means for you:

  • Service is temporarily down for improvements
  • Scheduled maintenance with estimated completion time
  • Service will return with enhanced features or fixes
  • Rather than you not seeing the service, you will see the service with the maintenance status and not accessible.

What Happens When Services Are Updated

Adding New Services

When we add new accounts of any type, it goes through integration and various testing before becoming available to users. It does not mean errors don't occur - they will, and you have to report it as soon as possible to get it working if applicable.

What you can expect:

New services appear in your dashboard once fully integrated. You'll receive notifications about new platform availability and how to access them.

Removing Services

Sometimes services need to be removed due to policy changes, technical incompatibilities, or platform restrictions from the original providers.

What you can expect:

You'll be notified in advance before any service removal. Alternative options or replacements are provided when possible.

Status Changes

Service status can change throughout the day based on technical issues, maintenance schedules, or updates from the original service providers.

What you can expect:

Real-time updates on service availability. Most status changes are temporary and services are restored as quickly as possible.

Service Updates

Regular updates improve service reliability, add new features, and ensure compatibility with the latest versions of educational platforms.

What you can expect:

Brief service interruptions during updates, followed by improved performance and potentially new features or capabilities.
